About Me

Building Community

As an Educator, I have had the privilege of teaching for over 15 years. My experience spans a diverse group of individuals from young to old. Teaching afforded me the opportunity to become an author. Writing opened up the doors of diversity in a storytelling form. My ongoing passion and commitment to continuous learning while imparting knowledge to others, has provided me the opportunity to serve in various positions. As a youth I had the distinction of working from the State House to the White House. As the years progressed, I have enjoyed writing for NPR news while being feature in various local news publications. Being a part of the Women's National Book Association and Carnegie Writers afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with various authors. It is with gratitude that I have had these types of experience to impart to others. As a Life coach and former Director of a Boys and Girls Club, I am honored to share these experiences. Through world travel I have learned that many people speak the same language of curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. Writing has served as a window to a world of understanding and appreciating cultural differences.
